Description

Reporting to the Finance Manager, Events Billing, this position is responsible for:

• Perform the day-to-day events billing functions for Lincoln Center’s Concert Halls. This includes estimates and final invoicing of outside licensee events as well as internal and constituent rentals.
• Prepare box office settlements immediately after final invoicing.
• Work closely with halls sales and production staff to ensure accurate and timely estimates and invoices.
• Assist the Finance Manager, Events Billing in the monitoring and collection of halls receivables.
• Assist in the implementation of upgrades and conversions of the halls billings software.
• Daily review Lincoln Center’s bank balances and transactions.
• Research and resolve unidentified transactions and communicate findings to appropriate staff
• Analyze and reconcile various general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
• Assist in the continuing effort to make the accounting function more efficient by identifying areas for improvement and to implement “best practices”.
• Perform ad hoc reporting, other analysis and special projects, as needed.

Requirements/Certifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 2 years experience in an accounting/finance function in a fast paced organization focused on outstanding customer service
• Experience with automated accounting systems, Excel and Word, preferred. Willingness to learn new software and technology
• Flexible team player with the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Well developed analytical and organizational skills combined with excellent oral and written communicative skills
• Self motivated, attentive to detail quick learner with thorough and successful follow through
